Polishing your yacht removes scratches, dull deposits and dirt. Polishing is customized for each yacht. We start with a compound paste and/or medium grit polishing paste. The pores of the gelcoat or varnish are smoothed again and polished to a high gloss. These steps create the glossy effect.
Of course, it may happen that your yacht has sustained damage or many scratches, is very weathered and dull. In case of scratches or damage this will be removed by matting and polished to high gloss for the most beautiful result.

In addition, on the yard of Jachtcenter Elburg, you are offered the possibility to have your boat waxed and polished by our partner Yachtdetailers. Waxing and polishing are different activities, this is because the composition of the product used is different.
Jachtcenter Elburg Partner, Yachtdetailers works with a unique wax with Nano technology, which makes the wax adhere to the paint better than a normal wax. Because of this Nano formula, the shine is exceptional and the protection is long lasting. Application of the wax is carried out mechanically. For best results, the wax is polished out manually.
There is also the possibility of applying a ceramic coating. The ceramic coating remains a longer period than a normal wax as this is a permanent protective layer for the paint.

In case of damage, we can proceed to repair the polyester, restore the damaged gelcoat, repair a hole in the hull or laminate a bow thruster. At the boatyard, there is the option of maintaining and restoring your polyester yacht with epoxy and gelcoat for the right color.
